Q10053 - BUG: Font/Barcode size decreases when exporting to PDF...

SYMPTOM

When exporting the report to a PDF file, the bar code size reduced in the exported PDF document.

SOLUTION

This is a known issue with Crystal Reports.

http://support.businessobjects.com/library/kbase/articles/c2017865.asp

To solve the issue, apply the hot fixes from Business Objects, or, modify the registry values, as below:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Crystal Decisions\10.0\Crystal Reports\Export\PDF

and

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Crystal Decisions\10.0\Crystal Reports\Export\PDF

Set the value of 'ForceLargerFonts' entry to 1.

Note: this method only applies to Crystal Report standalone versions, not OEM versions such as the one included in Visual Studio 2003. We have not yet seen patches from Business Objects addressing OEM versions. To get around the issue, increse the font size when you design the report.

APPLIES TO

  • All Morovia font products
