Release Notes for SecurePay Fontware 3.0.1 |
Table of Contents
This document contains the release notes for SecurePay Fontware version 3.0.1. The following sections describe the release in detail and provide late-breaking or other information that supplements the main documentation. This is second full release of the product. The version 3.0.1 is a bug fix release.
Fixed issue 256, the digit 4 in SecurePay8a.ttf does not have the small text print underneath.
IMPORTANT: the version 3.x installer is not compatible with the versions prior to 3.0, i.e. all 2.x and 1.x releases. We highly recommend that you remove the previous versions (regardless demo or retail version) completely before installing this release. If your current installation is version 3.0.0, you should upgrade just fine.
If previously you installed the fonts by copying the font files manually to the fonts folder or other folder, remove them before installing the new version.
The installation process is straightforward. Follow the instructions to complete the installation.
Occasionally the fonts are copied to the program folder, however they failed to appear on the system font list. Logged installation does not discover any errors during the installation. Usually you can get around it by reboot your computer after the installation. If a reboot does not solve the issue, try check if your system is corrupt by scanning the system disk thoroughly.
When installing the retail version software, the license information
dialog will appear asking for the license information. There are two
fields, License To
and Regstration code
on that screen. Both fields must match the ones in the email we sent
after purchase. If you order the software in CD-ROM, you can find
them on the CD cover.
This release consists of the following items:
16 secure pay true type fonts, with and without small print underneath
Product manual, in Adobe PDF format.
Release Notes, which you are reading on.
License Agreement.
The zip file also contains other versions of the font file, such as PCL soft fonts, type 1 font files for Windows, Mac and Unix.
The fonts should work fine on all Win32 platforms, including Windows 95 and 98. However, due to the the support policy change, we no longer support those legacy platforms.
The following issues discovered after the last release have been addressed:
MITS256 - the character 4 does not have small print underneath as it should have in typeface MRV SecurePay8A
