Table of Contents
This document is the release notes for PCL Barcode & More version 1.5. The following sections describe the release in detail and provide late-breaking updates or other information that supplements the main documentation. This is the second full release of the product. The version 1.5 is a major maintenance release.
Morovia PCL Barcodes & More was conceived to provide a soft font solution that allows customers whose applications are based on the original HP PCL Barcodes & More cartridge to upgrade their printers without interruption of the operation. The product can also be used in new applications to print barcodes and OCR-A/OCR-B characters.
The package contains the following contents:
7 PCL bitmap fonts to print Code 3 of 9, UPC-A, US ZIP, OCR-A and OCR-B symbols.
Testing files, which include Windows batch files and Linux scripts to send PCL commands to a printer.
User Manual.
The fonts have been regenerated at 600 dpi to provide better printing accuracy. Manual is enhanced to include more information on how to download the fonts into a printer.
If you are working on Windows and the printer is directly connected to your computer, you can use copy command to send files to your printer. If it is a network printer, you can use lpr command to send files to the printer.
A host computer equipped with copy, cat, or lpr command.
A PCL-compatible laser printer, with 600 dpi or above in resolution.
