Introduction

The purpose of this page is to assist the customers to generate the barcode string. With this web utility you are able to create barcodes from any computer as long as the computer has the Internet access. For Windows customers we encourage using FontPal GUI program. For customers working on Macintosh, UNIX and AS/400 platforms, we recommend you always check out this page and verify your calculation against the results here.

This page uses Microsoft font embedding technology so you need to browse with Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or above on a Windows PC. If you are browsing the page from Macintosh, you need to install the fonts (demo version is OK) first to view the barcode. You can always calculate the barcode string no matter which platform you are working on.

After you retrieve the barcode string, simply copy & paste the string into your application. Note that on Macintosh platform the character mapping for extended ASCII range (128-255) are different than the ones on Windows. The browser performs the conversion automatically for you. Code Facts^TM Code39 is the widely used alphanumeric symbology. Its charset consists of 43 characters: 0-9, A-Z, + - / $ and SPACE. Start/stop characters are required and mapped to *, [ and ].
If you are using the demo font package, some characters are removed. Refer to the help for details.

Barcode Type - The Barcode type. Currently the Fontpal Web Utility supports Code39, Code39 Extended, Code93, UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-13, EAN-8, Code128A, Code128B, Code128C, Code128Auto, Codabar, Code11, Interleaved 2 of 5, Code25, Telepen ASCII, Telepen Numeric, POSTNET, PLANET, USPS EAN128 etc. barcode formats.

Message to Encoded - the data you want to encode.

Check Character - check this option to append check digit, if the symbology supports.

HR Text - check this option to add the human readable text.

Barcode String - the string you can copy and paste into your application to generate the barcode.
