Morovia MICR E13B Fonts
MICR stands for Magnetic Ink Character Recognition, a set of specially crafted symbols to use in banking industry.
Morovia's MICR E13B font follows strict ISO, ABA and ANSI standards and allows printing of MICR E-13B fonts for bank checks. These MICR fonts are compatible with many popular accounting packages and run on Microsoft Windows®, Macintosh, Unix, Linux and many other operating systems. Note that in order to meet the size dimensions defined by the standard, the MICR font should be printed at 12 points on a laser printer with 600 dpi or more in resolution.
ANSI X9.27 Print and Test Specifications for Magnetic Ink Character Recognition specifies the measurements, shapes and tolerances of 14 characters defined in MICR font in detail (including 10 digits, Transit symbol, Amount symbol, On-Us symbol and Dash symbol).
This package includes the following contents:
- True type font file of precise design - MRV MICR.
- Additional 11 fonts for printer calibration.
- User manual in PDF, online and Html Help formats.
- 600-dpi PCL printer version, to be used in PCL laser printers.
- PostScript (PFA and PFB) version of fonts.
Note: this package provides the most critical part in a check printing system. However, it does not come up with a complete solution to print checks. Designing and printing your own checks take much more efforts.
All files are packaged in a single zip file. The root directory contains the installer for Windows operating system. Three sub-directories can be found under the root directory: truetype, postscript, and pcl. They contain True Type, Postscript and PCL fonts respectively.
