hi

I want to ask that is there any security in barcode readers

Like i am studying in university which uses ID card to issue a book from library. The ID card has barcode on it . The machine reads the barcode to issue the book.

What i want to ask is that if i print the same barcode from the printer and paste it on any card> Can my that code will be accepted to isue a book from library without the original ID card

Is there any security feature in barcode readers or not

Barcode readers by default do not have any built-in security check. It is up to the application to verify whether the number is valid or not.
